Laura Schlessinger - Dr. Laura of radio fame - is a noted homophobic. She now shows she's also a racist extraordinaire. The fact that she uses the N word over and over is actually the least offensive thing about her rant. I wonder how Jewess Schlessinger would feel if confronted with the equivalent anti-Semitism?
Waiting for the wingnuts to scurry to Dr. Laura's rescue. (As predicted, it has started. No linkies to the baddies.)
UPDATE: Props to Laura for at least apologizing, something the others on the right rarely do.

She didn't apologize.
She issued the same textbook nonpology you always see trotted out by the borderline sociopathic. "I didn’t intend to hurt people, but I did. And that makes it the wrong thing to have done." She doesn't regret her action, she regrets the reaction to it.
"I'm sorry that you got upset by what I did, and I hope that you'll stop being upset" is not an apology.
I love how after centuries of taking away black people's rights, white people like Dr. Laura now get to decide whether blacks have a right to be offended.
I agree that the apology was hollow; she did not even attempt to articulate why she was wrong and I'm not sure she truly understands it herself.
