G20: who can ever think of the police the same way again?

Stephen Harper and Bill Blair did a number on many Canadians' heads when they turned Toronto into Tehran for the G20 weekend. It's too bad the media played such a key role in hiding the true villains' role in the brutality and totalitarian methods employed by Toronto's police force.

The conservative Globe & Mail has done Harper's work for him for too long. The paper takes a break today to present a taste of the reality of that horrible weekend which will forever define the new Toronto. The Rob Ford Toronto. The police-are-no-longer-your-friend Toronto.

It's not just Toronto. The Canada Stephen Harper promised we would never see again is slipping away. When it comes to governments and cops, I don't recognize this place anymore.

UPDATE: It appears Seoul cops have taken a page out of the Harper/Blair playbook. No word if a thousand onlookers were arrested, though.
