Sarah Palin is a Canadian and her name is Joe!

From your daily Blogging Tories in Their Own Words, comes this comment at SDA:
"I've always thought that 'science's' insistence that mankind came from Africa was rooted in white European racism. Some Europeans would say that the wide nose and slopping (sic) forhead of some native Africans made them look like African great apes. Since mankind 'evolved' from great apes wouldn't it make sense that the two species living side by side would still look alike?'
While I do believe evolution is the most solid theory for how the human race has arrived at its current state, there is no explanation why some of us, like Joe the Palin (or is that Joe the O'Donnell?), have been left behind.

No explanation except: the missing link!

Settled science indeed....

I did something I'm pretty sure few of SDA's commenter's did... I read the article which goes on to say

Sir Paul Mellars, a prehistory expert at Cambridge University, said the study is reputable, and the find is "important" because remains from that critical time period are scarce, but it is premature to say the remains are human.

"Based on the evidence they've cited, it's a very tenuous and frankly rather remote possibility," Mellars said. He said the remains are more likely related to modern man's ancient relatives, the Neanderthals.

It's pointless bring things like facts up in environments like that, so I laughed and left.
