This is good news for BC and for progressives. With Christy Clark shifting ever rightwards, the rise of Adrian Dix in the minds of BC residents is heartening.
VICTORIA — Premier Christy Clark suffered a significant blow in public opinion Wednesday, falling for the first time behind NDP leader Adrian Dix as people’s top choice for premier.
The poll, conducted by Angus Reid Public Opinion, found that 26 per cent of British Columbians think Dix would make the best premier, followed by 22 per cent who chose Clark. And
Wednesday’s poll also found that Clark’s B.C. Liberal party has lost almost all the gains it made from its change in leadership, plummeting in popularity back to just above where it was when former premier Gordon Campbell announced his resignation in 2010.Hopefully, the threat of Dix and the NDP's renewed strength in BC will give Clark pause on her rush to turn the province's Liberals into an even more impaled imitation of the federal Conservatives.
