The Conservative pit bull brings the hate for
Palestinians to the UN, overriding cooler heads left once again on the Harper cutting room floor. No questions asked. Of course the media calls this hate "pro-Israel" sentiment. I don't think most of the rest of the world would agree.
OTTAWA - A Canadian expression of goodwill toward the Palestinian people was left on the cutting-room floor when Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird addressed the United Nations General Assembly last fall.
Baird rejected early departmental drafts of his maiden address to the UN that said Canada is a "leading supporter" of the Palestinian people and outlined major spending that backed that assertion, The Canadian Press has learned.
Baird ended up delivering a much tougher address than envisioned by his speech writers, one that unequivocally emphasized Canada's support for Israel — a position for which he makes no apologies and which has generated much criticism of the Harper Conservatives.

with friends like Harper Israel is doomed.
It's simple really. It's all about ensuring that biblical prophesy of the end times comes true. Palestine is perceived by the fundamentalist Harper acolytes as possibly derailing the prophesies in Revelations.
Hopefully, more intelligent heads will prevail. Sooner or later Canadians will figure out that Dear Leader™ and his acolytes really are a bunch of fundamentalists. Logic be damned. Facts are mere inconveniences to ideology.
Baird is a Roman Catholic so where does the End Times enter?
End times and coffers.
Baird is also gay, so he really shouldn't be looking forward to the end times, if he believes what his church teaches. Eternity in hell and all that.....
