What do you do when you're a right winger and the blowback against a sexist and 'autocratic regime' brings a shitstorm to your door? If you're disgraced Darrell Issa, you don't try to accommodate the overwhelming opposition to your unequal actions or amend your operation, you double down by bringing in a hero of your opposition - and most Americans - Martin Luther King. Glenn Beck's done it, why not Darrell Issa? I guess using Martin Luther King's name on your behalf is much safer than calling your opponents Nazis.

This isn't about thinking free, or taking an unpopular position asshole, it's about denying women a place at the table.
