Fox News unleashes torrent of racism in response to Whitney Houston's death

Little Green Football's Charles Johnson put on his waders and protective gloves to visit the Fox News website, peering into the comments section of a report on Whitney Houston's death. Johnson notes:
There’s a real sickness running rampant in the right wing; the Fox News comment thread on Whitney Houston’s death is yet another disgusting deluge of outright racism: Singer Whitney Houston Dies at 48 | Fox News.
There are almost 5000 comments posted in the thread — these are from the first few pages. Notice that the racist bastards deliberately misspell their slurs or insert random spaces, so they aren’t caught by word filters. And many of the worst comments have numerous “likes” from other commenters.
Here's just a small sample of what he found (if you can stomach them):
A tragedy is when someones passes away from a terminal disease or something else that no one saw coming.Whitney is just an inferior lo w life ni gg er that needed to go,no tragedy,no loss.

Any death is a tragedy you heartless bástard.

SHe couldn’t even sell issues of “the national enquirer” anymore. Everyone was tired of the TNB. Niqqer flaps her lips and screeches, niqqer becomes rich. Niqqer ends up nearly broke after spending all of her money. Niqqer in constant fights and drug binges. Niqqer ODs when she learns she’s nearly broke and she is so wasted physically she can’t make another album. Niqqer hit the end of the road, niqqer thinking and niqqer behavior led her to where she had nothing. She couldn’t face life without the “bling bling”, she knew she would never have any more “kaching kaching”

I am now patiently waiting for the grand messiah Obama to have a blk fundraiser in honor of Whitley with Kevin Costner as guest of honor with all the Hollywood elites invited along with Alan Colmes, Al Sharpton, Jeremia Wright, Charles Rangel, etc. with a menu featuring blk eyed peas, grits, Imported Kobe steak, Dom Perignon, sweet potato pie and a mus lll im scarf as a momento of this great occasion.
Of course the door prize will be an all expense paid trip to Kenya to visit the Obama tribe and birthplace of his ancestors while the American people still look for this imposter’s birth certificate in Hawaii !!!

This is typical of the blk gene pool; it happens all the time. They cannot handle fame and fortune whether it’s derived from music, acting, sports or just plain entertainment. Too much fame and too much money at one time will ki ll ll you.
How many blk people have died from drugs including alcohol that have been in the sports and the entertainment industry or screwed up their married lives like Tiger Woods or worse, OJ Simpson !!!
This is the same disease that got Obama voted into the White House.

To bad it wasnt the monkey in the White House
To be fair to the uneducated, hateful and racist viewers of Fox News, comments on most sites are full of idiotic rantings of people who can't spell or put a sentence together. But what's revealing about this small sample is that a major cable news network allows these patently racist comments to appear. As Johnson reminds us, the sample he provides is just a tiny portion of the total deluge of hate.

Let it be clear about what those "free speech" warriors in Canada really want. They want to be able to freely express their inner racist, homophobic, sexist demons. They want to do what the Fox News commenters do. Let's face it, they can say pretty much anything they want now; they just want more and more ugly. That's the essence of "free speech" to them.

I'm shocked even though I know I shouldn't be given that this is FOX News. As a proud Conservative I am always for Free Speech but I most certainly DO NOT defend this kind of blatant garbage.

While I'm on the far left, I am among those who is in favour of complete freedom of speech, because not only should people "be able to freely express their inner racist, homophobic, sexist demons", but that people like myself who is against racism, homophobia and sexism should be able to ridicule, expose and counter such demons. It saddens and sickens me that we have such a stupid law that people should be tossed into jail for saying something that others don't like and cry. Free speech should be used to counter hate speech, and the best way to counter hate speech and misinformation is through truth.

Just because someone doesn't use racist language, it doesn't mean they aren't racist or can't to racist things.

By the way, how could you be even shocked and surprised by the comments made on the pages of FOX "NEWS". Americans have known FOX to be a propaganda/tabloid junk machine for YEARS.

I remember hearing how a friend felt when the Danish cartoons were published, and how the Muslim world behaved. Let me tell you coming from him, a Muslim: he was offended by the way they were drawn. I mean, he honestly couldn't be any more appalled and sickened at the way they were drawn. Only one or two of them were nicely drawn but the rest were so horribly made, one of them being so bad, he said, he could've drawn a far better one with a pen taped to his dick. Also, he said the way his fellow Muslims behaved were like fucking apes. If someone had stopped and used their brains for a minute, they realized that they're going ape shit . . . over drawings. Over nothing. You don't behave like this over drawings. Only ignorant people do, not intelligent adults! As if we can't or aren't old enough to make our own decisions.

As for these folk, why are you attempting to scare and offend people into supporting a law that is as appalling, stupid and nonsensical as the comments made in that article?

Jymn said...

CP, please read more carefully. I was mocking those who use "free speech" to further an agenda of spreading hate, not the law itself.

I'm not trying to 'scare and offend' anyone. And please do not equate my argument with those idiots who objected to the images of Mohammed.

"Better a thousandfold abuse of free speech than denial of free speech." ~Charles Bradlaugh

People can spread the agenda of hate without even using hate speech. The laws against hate speech only make them do it more covertly. Done through laws and hate crimes. Hate speech is not the same as murdering someone because they were black, or denying someone employment because they were Aboriginal.

Let them abuse freedom of speech just as people who are against them should abuse freedom of speech against them. Hell, even unpopular speech should be protected by law!

To put this roughly, it shouldn't be a question of hate speech, but of the people being denied ability and opportunity to express and receive dissenting opinions and counter-arguments and "love speech", and of the mediums of expression being monopolized by any specific group of people. Notice that there's no one saying anything condemning the comments in the article? Because such people are probably denied chance to condemn or ridicule with equal venom the venom of these monsters that have shown themselves. Hell, these monsters have affirmed FOX to be a magnet of idiots and dimwits alike.

As for your mockery, I humbly suggest you be a little more clear so that I'm not snagged by the same net.

Jymn said...

What can be more clear than, "Let it be clear about what those "free speech" warriors in Canada really want. They ..."? I talk about "they" throughout that particular paragraph, not about "it", the law.

Canadian Patriot said...

I know you're talking about people, not the law. I am a person and I am in favour of free speech and against the hate speech laws to the extent that they should be repealed. I could be deemed by someone as a "free speech warrior."

Though you did use quotation marks for only "free speech", so hmmm . . . .

Jymn said...

Of course I used "free speech" in quotes, in context of how those who abuse the principle of free speech are not really interested in free speech. That's why I used quotes!

I'm thinking in particular of those well-known conservatives who are famous for defamation but use the "free speech" excuse to whine about their predicament.

Canadian Patriot said...

Yeah, I just noticed that.

Well, I'm sure my appalling ignorance has made this article FAR more interesting than ever! :)

Though while they can use the "free speech" mantra (as part of abuse), it's not going to hide the fact that they'd lie to people. That only makes them unpopular among the decent folk. Unfortunately, most of the people in power aren't decent . . . or intelligent.

Jymn said...

CP, thank you for your thoughts. Believe it or not, free speech and the gun registry for that matter are very much open books in my mind. In other words, I get what you are saying, I just objected how you presented them. I guess for both of us it was a question of style.

Canadian Patriot said...

Though don't you think that the quotations should be around the word warriors instead of the words free speech?
